EDUCATION

One of the keys to growth in any industry is the quality of the people joining the workforce. The key to getting quality people is providing quality education. That's why Brizo® is involved in making sure the next generation of entrepreneurs, engineers, designers and contractors is well prepared upon entering the plumbing industry.

The Industrial Design department here sponsors a product design program with Purdue University. This involves taking over the junior class of industrial designers one day a week for five weeks and instructing them in the processes used to manufacture faucets. Then, the students design faucet products representing the requirements of each of the manufacturing methods.

We also fund a yearly scholarship program in conjunction with the National Association of Plumbing and Heating Contractors (NA-PHCC). Each year, the company and NA-PHCC host a luncheon where six deserving young people receive scholarships (four to four-year colleges and two to two-year junior colleges or trade schools).

We are a contributor to Indiana University and a sponsor of IU's annual Little 500 bicycle race. The company is helping develop the next generation of CEOs and entrepreneurs through sponsorship of Junior Achievement. JA is a practical program to enable business leaders to teach and inspire children from elementary through high school in free enterprise, business and economics.
